The present government is committed to providing equal rights and dignity to persons with disabilities. The Bangladesh Disability Welfare Act 2001 was enacted in 2001. This law was later repealed and the 'Rights and Protection of Persons with Disabilities Act 2013' was introduced. The Rights and Protection of Persons with Disabilities Act 2013 is a unique document for the protection and protection of the rights of persons with disabilities.
